Individual Evaluation

Did you tell the story you wanted? 

Yes we did, first we were going to do a comic book strip but we decided that it was too much of a hustle so we turned it into a film instead but we didn't change any of  the story. Before we started the script we thought up of more Characters other than the main character after that we thought of what will happen with the Beginning, the middle and the end of our story, i think me, Rehana and Lucas did pretty well in the story and we had fun doing it. 

Did the story turn out like you had envisioned?

First we were thinking of doing a adventure/fantasy type of genre but then as we thought up of ideas for the story it then slowly turned into a Horror and i think that our story turned out pretty good and i think that our story line is pretty thought up even though we just let our imaginations run wild. It turned better than i thought because I'm not really the type of person that can quickly and easily think of things that will go into things like a comic or a movie but with my group we thought of ideas really easily because we were on the same page and that we were also having fun with what we were doing because there was nothing holding back our imaginations.

Title: Day Dream

Logline: It's hard to wake up when you aren't even asleep.

Story synopsis: 

Beginning   

Shows Damen arguing with Charlotte- Charlotte leaves slamming the door behind her self.

Damen is depressed and takes LSD but 'passes out' but actually when he dreams he kills people who have annoyed him in the past but can not remember doing so when he wakes up.
First dream- Kills work mates.

Middle
He goes into his work place (Oak hills high school) and the head master ( Mr. Kennedy) asks damen where the missing teachers are and he doesn't remember killing them and is confused where they are. when he tries and thinks he gets a migraine so he goes home early to bed.

End
His best friend Ethan realizes that all these deaths lead to damen and once he realizes he tries and stop damen. But damen thinks Ethan is being crazy and doesn't believe that he is capable of doing the murders, even though he has thought that about it before because of his dreams. Damen tells Ethan to go away but once he has one of his 'dreams' again he wakes up to Ethan dead. He then knows he has to do something about the voices in his head and goes to a priest to try and exorcist him.

Statement of Intent:

We decided to make to make the film day dream because we was inspired by the different effects of drugs and how it can make a person come out of their character and make an nice person turn bad without even knowing. We want to tell this story because we want to raise awareness on drugs and how bullying can effect mental health, we personally think that this will help people notice that some people suffer with mental disorders without actually knowing so we hope this film will help people be more intelligent about drugs and respect more people with mental disorders. We decided to do this in the most interesting way possible, trying to get this film to touch people's hearts but as well have as many plot twist and find it stop more interesting and exciting. We thought this well help attract are aimed target audience which is mostly aged 17 and over.

Beginning
